• Partners with various departments including Policy Support, Claims and Underwriting to respond to customer inquiries. May work with external vendors to further address customer needs.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years customer service.
  • 1 year of experience in call center environment, insurance, sales or related field preferred.
  • Experience providing customer support within a high-volume, complex environment preferred.  
• Strong technical aptitude:
  • Intermediate computer skills with ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Able to troubleshoot basic issues with equipment such as headset, internet, and connectivity.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools preferred.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Other: Property and Casualty license will be required for this role. Licensing exam must be obtained within a designated number of attempts or testing window in the state(s) in which the license is acquired.

We are seeking an accomplished Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of designing, architecting, and optimizing large-scale data solutions. As the Principal Engineer for the Contractors team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Gusto’s flagship Payroll product—one of the core pillars of our platform. The Contractors team empowers businesses to onboard and pay contractors in 120+ countries with ease and speed. This includes critical functionalities such as payroll setup, preparation, and submission, historical reporting, time tracking, and shift scheduling. As a key member of this team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a profound impact on both the product and the customers who depend on it daily.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems to support Gusto’s Payroll products. 
• Function as a Technical Lead across multiple teams in Pay Group, helping us keep engineers unblocked and deliver high-quality work supporting our long-term goals
• Help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and TypeScript/React applications in the world.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $214,000-$264,000 /yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $251,000-$309,000 /yr for San Francisco & New York. Dataiku's platform is built on modern Web technologies (single page webapp with Angular/AngularJS) and integrates with a very large ecosystem of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, MPP databases, Cloud services, ...).

Our software testing stack is based on Python, Pytest, Selenium, and Allure for the integration tests. Our CI is based on Jenkins with intensive usage of AWS’s features.

At Dataiku, developers are involved in writing part of the automated integration tests together with the QA team.
