What you’d be doing in this role

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Pioneering the development of the architectural platform that enables the offline experience at Canva.
  • Identifying opportunities and paths leading us to a reliable, stable and performant offline experience
  • Shaping the future roadmap of Canva’s Offline platform, blending product impact with infrastructure evolution to support millions of users while enabling sustainable engineering growth.

You're probably a match if you have:

  • A track record of translating complex UX needs (e.g. low-network or offline use) into scalable frontend architectures.
  • Deep expertise in core web technologies — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React — and a strong grasp of end-to-end web delivery.
  • A strong understanding of build systems and performance tooling (bundling, minification, Web Vitals), with an ability to architect for scale and speed.

The Offline Platform sits within the Web Platform, building the foundations for frontend developers across Canva.
