About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer II who is best in class, with a high IQ and a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with strong prospects for continued growth and increased ownership.
As an AI Engineer II on the Applied AI team, you will take on end-to-end ownership of complex platforms and systems that power Sezzle's AI-driven capabilities. Your work will span initiatives such as building AI-powered platforms from scratch, developing intelligent automation and orchestration systems, and embedding proprietary AI solutions directly into customer-facing products, internal tools, and operational workflows.
You will operate in highly ambiguous problem spaces, working closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify opportunities where AI can drive meaningful impact — whether that's enhancing the customer experience, improving decision-making, or automating complex workflows. This role is ideal for engineers ready to move beyond scoped execution and into leading solutions: shaping architecture, driving implementation, and ensuring that what is built is reliable, scalable, and genuinely useful for both external users and internal teams.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design, development, and ownership of AI-powered internal platforms and systems, including initiatives built from the ground up.
Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects, from problem discovery and system design through production rollout and iteration.
Design and implement AI-driven features, intelligent automation, and orchestration systems that enhance customer experiences and compound productivity across teams.
Embed AI capabilities into customer-facing products, internal tools, and operational workflows, ensuring solutions integrate naturally and deliver measurable value.
Build full-stack systems spanning backend services, APIs, data layers, and frontend interfaces.
Translate ambiguous business and operational problems into scalable, maintainable, AI-enabled technical solutions.
Apply strong systems thinking to ensure reliability, performance, security, permissions, and auditability across platforms.
Collaborate closely with engineers, teams, and stakeholders across the company to identify high-impact opportunities and drive adoption.
Participate in production support and incident response for owned systems, helping define and uphold reliability and operational best practices.
Mentor AI team members through code reviews, design feedback, and hands-on guidance, raising the overall quality bar of the team.
What We Look for:
3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, platform engineering, or related roles.
Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI-powered systems into production environments.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and frontend frameworks such as React.
Proven experience designing and owning production-grade full-stack systems.
Experience working with distributed systems, internal platforms, or complex data workflows.
Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces and drive solutions with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building AI-first platforms or internal products from scratch, including early architectural decisions.
Strong foundation in core machine learning and data science principles, including supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model evaluation, and statistical inference.
Experience with transformer architectures (BERT, GPT, etc.) and understanding of attention mechanisms, tokenization, and fine-tuning strategies for domain-specific applications.
Experience developing AI-assisted or agentic systems that interact with tools, data, or workflows.
Familiarity with embeddings and vector representations, including text embeddings, similarity search, and integration with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar).
Experience with NLP techniques including text classification, named entity recognition, semantic search, and information extraction.
Familiarity with cloud-native development using AWS.
Understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and LLM application patterns.
Experience with containerized systems and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows (e.g., GitLab).
Experience with Golang is a plus (or willingness to learn).
About You:
You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.
You’re not bound by convention - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things
You need action - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.
You earn trust - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully.
What Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:
At Sezzle, we are more than just brilliant engineers, passionate data enthusiasts, out-of-the-box thinkers, and determined innovators. We believe in surrounding ourselves with only the best and the brightest individuals. Our culture is not defined by a certain set of perks designed to give the illusion of the traditional startup culture, but rather, it is the visible example living in every employee that we hire.

Hightouch: AI Creative Designer, Email
Company: Location: Remote Published: 2026-07-24
Headquarters: Remote, United States
About Hightouch
Hightouch is an Agentic Marketing Platform powered by the industry-leading Composable CDP. With complete brand context, customer data, and performance history in one place, every marketer finally has the power to build and ship end-to-end campaigns themselves. Teams move faster, stay on brand, and get AI marketing that actually works.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in San Francisco, Hightouch enables marketing teams to analyze performance, brainstorm ideas, and generate creative at a speed and quality that wasn't previously possible.
Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Customer Data Platforms, Hightouch is trusted by leading enterprises like Domino's, Spotify, Aritzia, Cars.com, Ramp, and PetSmart.
At Hightouch, our mission is to help our customers leverage data and AI to grow their businesses. The team is ambitious, impact-driven, efficient — and we believe humility, kindness, and compassion are essential to our success. If you're energized by velocity, obsessed with raising the bar, and want to build alongside people who care deeply about each other and our customers, we'd love to meet you.The Role
Most AI-generated emails still look like AI-generated emails. Off-brand color, clunky layouts, the same five templates on a loop. Brands that care about their identity have stayed on the sidelines because the output hasn't met their bar.
We're changing that. Hightouch's Agentic Marketing Platform is the system enterprise marketers are using to plan, generate, and ship lifecycle campaigns with their data, their guidelines, and their voice. Our customers include Domino's, Chime, Spotify, Ramp, Whoop, and Grammarly. They are not going to settle for slop, and neither are we.
We're hiring an AI Creative Designer to be the human who proves what's possible. You'll collaborate alongside our Solutions Engineering team on enterprise customer calls, translate brand guidelines into agentic workflows that actually produce on-brand email and lifecycle creative, and ship the work that makes the case. You will be the most influential creative voice in the room, both for our customers and for our product.
You will define how the most recognizable brands in the world build email with AI, and you will watch the work you direct ship to millions of inboxes.
What You’ll Do
Lead creative on enterprise engagements. Partner directly with our customers' lifecycle and marketing teams to accelerate the adoption of our Agentic Marketing Platform through on-brand email systems that deliver immediate impact. Understand each brand's identity, engagement goals, and constraints. Build the agentic workflows, prompts, reference libraries, and guardrails that produce work the brand is proud to send.
Set the creative bar. When a customer asks "can your platform make an email that looks like this," you're the person who makes it look like that. You'll produce the creative work that turns curiosity into conviction and proves what's possible.
Drive performance, not just aesthetics. Partner with customers on A/B tests, iterate on creative based on results, and build the playbook for what drives opens, clicks, and conversions, and reliably lands in the inbox, when AI is in the loop.
Shape the product. As the creative voice closest to product and engineering, you'll spot friction, refine workflows, and help shape model behavior to directly influence what we build next!
Define the playbook. Document patterns that work, share them with the team, and build the body of knowledge that lets us scale taste across every customer we onboard.
What You Bring
A portfolio that does the talking. Real lifecycle programs, real email campaigns, real product launches. Ideally with AI integrated into the workflow, but the bar is craft. If your work is exceptional, we want to see it. (Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.)
Deep email design experience. You've designed hundreds of emails across lifecycle programs (onboarding, nurture, retention, win-back) and you have sharp opinions about layout, hierarchy, and what renders well across clients and devices. Comfortable getting into the code and build of an email is a plus.
Deep AI fluency. You don't need us to teach you what's new. You're already testing the latest image and generative models the week they drop, you're stringing them together in node based UIs, you have strong opinions about which ones get which jobs, and you know how to push them past their defaults to hit a specific look.
Enterprise client instincts. You've worked directly with sophisticated marketing teams, in-house, agency, or consultancy, and you know how to navigate brand reviews, legal, and the politics of getting work approved.
Lifecycle marketing literacy. You understand the difference between an email that wins a design award and one that hits an engagement or revenue target, and you can hold both standards at once.
Taste. This is the hardest one to write a bullet for, so we'll just say it: you have it, your portfolio shows it, and you can articulate why something works.
Why Hightouch?
You'll be the creative center of gravity for a product that's actively defining a category. The brands you'll work with are the ones you already follow. The team you'll join, Product, Engineering, Solutions, Design, ships fast and treats craft as a non-negotiable. And the work you do will compound: every workflow you build, every customer you ship for, makes the next one easier.
If you've been waiting for the moment to bet on AI in lifecycle marketing before it's obvious, this is it.
Compensation
$140,000-$180,000 USD per year, location-independent. Top of band is reserved for candidates with proven enterprise creative leadership and a portfolio that sets the bar. We also offer meaningful equity in the form of ISO options, with early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.E-Verify Statement
Hightouch participates in E-Verify. After you join the team, we'll verify your eligibility to work in the U.S. by submitting information from your Form I-9 to the Social Security Administration and, if needed, the Department of Homeland Security. This process happens post-hire only — we never use E-Verify to pre-screen applicants.

Mercury: Chief Audit Officer
Company: Location: Remote Published: 2026-07-24
Headquarters: San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, Portland, OR, or Remote within United States
Arthur C. Clarke famously said that “any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
At Mercury, we aim to deliver a magical experience to our customers who rely on us for their banking* and financial workflows. But behind the magic lies a lot of rigor—internal audit is a key part of keeping Mercury safe, resilient, and worthy of our customers’ trust.
As Mercury’s first Chief Audit Officer, you’ll lead the company’s independent assurance program that allows us to scale with confidence. You will serve as a strategic partner to the Board and Audit Committee, providing an objective, enterprise-wide view of our financial, operational, and technical resilience.
This role is about finding the right balance between high-velocity innovation and the rigorous expectations of our partner banks and regulators. By moving toward data-driven, continuous monitoring, you will ensure our growth is anchored in integrity. You’ll drive a culture of audit readiness where excellence is the baseline and regulatory exams result in no surprises.
Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.
Here are some of the things you will do:
Own the Audit Vision — evolve the risk-based internal audit strategy and ensure alignment with the company’s growth, regulatory expectations, and emerging risks.
Provide Independent Assurance — deliver objective evaluations to the Board and Audit Committee(s) on the effectiveness of our risk management, internal controls, and governance.
Ensure we Audit the Stack — own the audit universe; ensuring completeness of Audit coverage across Mercury. Oversee the audit program to ensure the plan includes the appropriate mix of technical and operational audits that dive deep into our business, automated movement of funds, and cloud infrastructure to ensure data integrity and security.
Validate the "Magic" — ensure our audit program includes timely validation that new and existing product workflows and financial controls are operating exactly as intended, identifying potential friction before it impacts the customer.
Bridge the Regulatory Gap — act as a key point of contact for our partner banks and regulators, providing them with the confidence that Mercury’s internal oversight is rigorous and proactive.
Automate Oversight — design and implement continuous monitoring systems that replace manual checklists with real-time, data-driven audit insights.
Champion SustainableRemediation — serve as the senior escalation point to partner with Engineering, Product, and Risk leads to ensure audit findings result in structural improvements, not just temporary fixes and that remediations are appropriately prioritized within the roadmaps, in line with risk.
There are lots of paths that could lead you to be successful in a role like this; we think the strongest candidates will have some of these experiences or attributes:
Bring proven leadership in audit — you’ve built or scaled internal audit functions within high-growth banking or financial services, ideally at the intersection of traditional finance and fintech innovation.
Have technical fluency — you are comfortable in a cloud-native, remote-first environment. You can discuss API integrity and automated controls as easily as you can discuss balance sheets and reconciliations.
Navigate the regulatory landscape with confidence — you know what regulators expect, you’re comfortable engaging directly with them, and you can help Mercury anticipate and adapt to a changing environment.
Maintain strong and effective independence — you have the fortitude to deliver difficult news and the diplomacy to ensure those insights lead to positive change.
Communicate clearly and simply — whether you’re talking to the Board, regulators, engineers, or product teams, you cut through jargon and make risk concepts understandable and actionable.
Balance protection with possibility — you know how to safeguard the company without slowing it down, and you see the audit function as a way to unlock and safeguard innovation, not stop it.
Lead with curiosity and vision — you’re ambitious about where audit can go in a modern fintech, and you bring the curiosity to explore new ideas, new markets, and new ways of serving customers safely.
Inspire and develop others — you build strong teams, mentor future leaders, and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and trust across the company.
The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity, and benefits.
Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:
US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $275,400 - $361,400
US employees outside of the New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $247,900 - $325,250

About the Role
Abnormal AI is looking for a Content Strategist to join our Content Marketing team and help connect messaging to activation across the business. This role sits at the intersection of campaign strategy, content development, and amplification: you’ll partner with Integrated Marketing and Content Marketing leadership to support campaign messaging, contribute to downstream execution, and help ensure content across channels is cohesive and ready for market.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who is excited to operate in an AI-native environment. You’ll help take raw inputs — including research, customer stories, webinars, and internal materials — and turn them into activation-ready content and derivative assets using modern tools and workflows.
You’ll work across Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Social, Editorial, Brand/Creative, and other stakeholders to help Abnormal move faster and get more value from the content we create.
What you will do
Partner with Integrated Marketing and Content Marketing leadership to support campaign messaging and downstream execution
Contribute to campaign execution across priority initiatives, helping maintain consistency as messaging is translated into emails, landing pages, social copy, webinars, and other assets
Build familiarity with the company’s campaigns and messaging, and help help maintain alignment with campaign messaging across outputs
Review and adapt content across formats to support repackaging and downstream use
Translate raw inputs — including research, customer stories, internal podcasts, webinars, threat reports, and internal conversations — into activation-ready content and narrative outputs
Identify opportunities to extend the value of existing content by creating derivative assets (e.g., summaries, slides, clips, videos, or industry-specific cutdowns)
Help turn existing content and moments into amplification opportunities, including web experiences, campaign packages, contributed content, podcast pitches, and other distribution plays
Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate ideation, distillation, repackaging, and content transformation, while applying editorial judgment to refine outputs
Contribute to building lightweight workflows for slicing, packaging, and distributing content more efficiently across channels
Operate as a flexible generalist, contributing across a range of content and campaign needs with guidance from Content Marketing leadership

Ability to work across multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
Willingness to learn, iterate quickly, and adapt to new tools and workflows
Strong attention to detail and a bias toward action
Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
Nice to Haves
Experience supporting integrated marketing or campaign-based work
Familiarity with content operations tools (Asana, CMS platforms)

The AI Transformation Owner drives the end-to-end AI agenda for the field organization, translating emerging AI capabilities into concrete enablement roadmaps, field use cases, and org-level strategy. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to pilot and scale AI solutions, own the operational transformation plan needed to embed AI into day-to-day field workflows, and establish the governance framework that keeps AI adoption safe, compliant, and aligned with company standards. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move from strategy to execution without heavy oversight.
This role reports to the Vice President, Enablement & AI.
What You’ll Do
AI Enablement Roadmap: Own and continuously evolve the roadmap for AI-driven enablement initiatives, prioritizing based on field impact, feasibility, and alignment with broader Enterprise AI team and strategy..
AI Field Use Cases: Identify, scope, and execute on high-value AI use cases for the field (e.g., deal support, prospecting, content generation, guided selling, skills, change management), working with stakeholders to define success criteria and measure impact.
AI Field Champions: build relationships with champions in the field organization to activate power-usage and drive peer-led adoption; track this adoption (e.g., usage, proficiency, behavior change) with our AI Ops Specialist and Enablement Analyst.
Ops Transformation Plan: Design and drive the operational plan that turns AI pilots into scaled, repeatable processes, coordinating across enablement, ops, and technical teams to remove execution bottlenecks.
AI Governance: Influence and lead governance standards for AI tool adoption in the field, including data usage, risk review, tool vetting, and alignment with company-wide AI policy.
What You’ll Bring
Mid-Senior Experience: Several years of experience in enablement, sales operations, or a related GTM function, with a track record of owning initiatives end-to-end.
AI Solutions Experience: Direct experience evaluating, piloting, or deploying AI tools or solutions in a business context, with a solid technical understanding of how they work and where they add value. Act as the field's primary advocate for AI tools (e.g., AI-assisted prospecting, call intelligence, forecasting copilots, RFP/proposal generation).
Cross-Functional Fluency: Proven ability to work closely with product and engineering teams, translating field needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
Self-Sufficiency: Comfortable operating with significant autonomy — able to define scope, structure ambiguous problems, and drive work forward without needing detailed direction.
Organization & Execution: Strong project management instincts; able to manage multiple workstreams (roadmap, use cases, ops transformation, governance) in parallel without dropping details.
Innovative Mindset: A builder's orientation toward new technology — curious about what's possible, willing to experiment, and able to separate genuine opportunity from hype.
Enablement/Sales Background: Familiarity with field or sales enablement motions (onboarding, tool adoption, content, coaching) and how AI can realistically augment them.
GitLab Values Alignment: Ability to work in an all-remote, asynchronous environment, leaning heavily on transparency and collaboration as defined in the GitLab Handbook.
