Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Compensation:

The salary range for this role will be $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 6%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.

  5. Quality-Driven Design Culture Establish and maintain the highest design quality standards, ensuring every interface reflects our commitment to professionalism and trustworthiness in the financial services space.
Responsibilities
  1. End-to-End Design Ownership Take full ownership of the design process from conceptualization through prototyping, testing, and post-launch optimization.
  2. Innovation in Uncharted Territory Pioneer new UX/UI patterns for novel DeFi products and tokenized assets, solving design challenges that have never been tackled before in the financial technology space.
  3. Design System Development Create and evolve a comprehensive design system that scales across multiple products while maintaining consistency and quality standards.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration Work autonomously while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilitating healthy debates and synthesizing diverse perspectives into cohesive product solutions.
  5. Quality Assurance & Implementation Ensure pixel-perfect implementation by working closely with engineering teams during development and conducting meticulous QA reviews.
  6. User Research & Validation Conduct user research to validate design decisions and iterate on solutions based on user feedback and behavioral data.
Requirements
  1. Experience Minimum of 5-7 years in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design processes, preferably with experience in fintech, Web3, or DeFi products.
  2. Web3 & DeFi Expertise Demonstrated passion for and experience with Web3 technologies and decentralized finance, with understanding of blockchain mechanics, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols.
  3. Design Tool Mastery Expert proficiency in Figma, along with prototyping tools like Framer, Principle, or After Effects for creating interactive demonstrations.
  4. Autonomous Problem Solving Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, defining problems and solutions with minimal guidance while maintaining high-quality output.
  5. Systems Thinking Experience building and maintaining design systems, with strong attention to detail and ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  6. Collaborative Leadership Excellent communication and facilitation skills with experience working across diverse teams and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
  7. Quality Standards Demonstrated commitment to pixel-perfect execution with a meticulous eye for detail and experience in design QA processes.
Nice to Haves
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of frontend development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineering teams.
  3. Financial Services Background: Previous experience designing for financial services, trading platforms, or investment management tools.
  4. User Research Skills: Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and analyzing user behavior data.
  5. Workshop Facilitation: Experience leading design workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and collaborative ideation processes.
  6. Motion Design: Skills in creating micro-interactions and animation to enhance user experience and guide user behavior.
