What you’ll do
As Head of Self-Serve Paid Media, you will own and evolve Stripe's self-serve paid acquisition strategy, managing a team of 5-10 paid media experts and working cross-functionally with leaders across analytics, creative, product marketing, growth engineering, and finance. You'll be responsible for a substantial media budget and accountable for delivering efficient, scalable growth in signups, activations, and revenue. In this role, you'll own the long term strategy for how paid media delivers growth in Stripe’s self-serve business. You'll identify new channels and formats, build measurement frameworks that connect spend to business outcomes, and develop your team into world-class practitioners. You'll partner closely with data science to advance our attribution and incrementality capabilities, and with internal and external creative partners to produce high-performing assets at scale.
Responsibilities
Own the self-serve paid media strategy end-to-end, including budget allocation, channel mix, and performance targets across search, social, display, video, and other channels
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team of 5-10 paid media specialists, fostering a culture of experimentation, craft, and growth
Drive measurable improvements in acquisition efficiency (ROAS, incremental activations) while scaling total investment

You are not expected to be an expert in every area below. Instead, you bring depth in some and working familiarity across many, and you are comfortable connecting them into a coherent operational story.
Data engineering & processing systems: You have built, operated, or supported production data pipelines using distributed processing systems such as Apache Spark or Databricks, and understand common failure modes, performance tradeoffs, and operational challenges in batch and hybrid pipelines.
Data platforms & analytics systems: You have hands-on experience with analytics platforms such as Snowflake and BigQuery, including schema design, data modeling, SQL-based analysis, and reasoning about performance, cost, and access patterns in real-world environments.
Streaming & event-driven data: You understand how data flows through streaming systems such as Kafka or similar platforms, including producer and consumer behavior, lag, delivery semantics, and how streaming issues propagate into downstream datasets and analytics.
Data quality, lineage, and metadata concepts: You are familiar with how data teams reason about data quality, upstream and downstream impact, and change management, and have experience working with data lineage, metadata, or transformation tooling (for example dbt, OpenLineage, or related ecosystems), or have operated in environments where these concepts are core to reliability.

What you'll do
As a Global Sales Enablement Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and improvement of Stripe’s seller enablement platforms. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support across a variety of tools and as a key collaborator on new builds.
Responsibilities
Own day-to-day platform administration
Administer and configure enablement and productivity platforms according to business needs, including user provisioning, content management, permissions, and integrations
Keep our systems clean, accurate, and up to date across both third-party tools and homegrown applications
Be the team's operational backbone
Own and resolve support tickets across enablement platforms, ensuring sellers and internal stakeholders receive timely, high-quality responses

Contribute to our homegrown platform
Maintain and contribute to our custom-built enablement platform (HTML, JavaScript, Next.js, DB ORMs, React, Tailwind CSS)
Serve as technical backup to the team's full-stack engineer on design and development work
Participate in UAT and iterative testing as new capabilities launch
Support our data and reporting strategy
Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and data workflows that the team relies on for reporting, performance visibility, and operational decision-making
Work with Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and AI tooling
Identify improvements and build smarter in AI-powered environments
Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, including building agents or automations to streamline recurring processes
Notice what's not working, dig into the "why," and bring forward clear, actionable solutions and drive governance of our agentic workflows
Leverage AI to build and maintain knowledge of how systems interact across the enablement stack, with an eye toward efficiency gains
Develop and maintain documentation
Keep runbooks, SOPs, technical docs, and user guides current so the team can self-serve and scale
Ensure appropriate documentation and controls are in place across all administered platforms
Partner across the organization
Work closely with Enablement Program Managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Support cross-functional partners with data, testing, and operational tasks
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
3+ years of experience in a systems administration, technical operations, or related role
Experience with system user management and user access provisioning
Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Experience working with Google Sheets or similar

Preferred qualifications
