Maintain the CGS chart of accounts by establishing new accounts and inactivating old ones. Maintain PeopleSoft trees for purposes of financial reporting and budgeting. Review process scheduler results and trouble shoot any system issues (ledger and sub-ledger postings). Run maintenance utilities for BI, AR, AP, payroll and conversion journal postings to the general ledger. Prepare and assist with financial, statistical and economic studies and reports, and financial policy, as required. Relieve Senior Accountant during periods of vacation or absence. Respond to section specific inquires from CGS staff. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS’s Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
