WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

  • Strong technical understanding of payment flow orchestration, transaction lifecycles, and PSP API structures.
  • Experience designing or working with features like routing logic, failover, transaction scoring, retry logic, multi-MID switching, PSP onboarding, merchant dashboards.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership: you’ve driven product work across Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Ops.

What you will do:
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy of what carriers and retailers we should partner with. Own the hunting and farming of these accounts.

  • Learn how to grow and develop Distribusion’s global network of bus, rail, and public transport operators across the region.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with business units and technical teams to gather, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and leadership to align priorities and manage expectations.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear definition and acceptance criteria for user stories and features.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product stability, security, and delivery timelines.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product adoption, reliability, and business impact.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements to the product based on user feedback, analytics, and emerging technology trends.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of product features, processes, and architecture for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure the platform adheres to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of product managers, fostering collaboration and professional growth. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or IT project management, preferably with API platforms or integration technologies.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments, ideally within federal or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and API management tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects or products in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with security, authentication, and authorization standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT) is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and leading teams.
  • Previous experience implementing complex API solutions for Federal health clients.
  • Previous experience delivering high-availability systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • Active VA Public Trust
  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment

  • Able to independently plan and successfully travel 26+ weeks per year (this includes overnight travel)
  • May be required to travel Mon-Friday, 2 weeks out of each month
  • Ability to successfully navigate virtual meetings and technology

  • Ability to seek out opportunities to increase program awareness
