Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gather technical and operational requirements directly from Accounting, Finance, Sales Ops, and Product teams, translating their vision into sustainable platform configuration. Data Integrity & Migration: Maintain billing data continuity and manage subscription data updates or migrations without disrupting ongoing financial operations or revenue recognition flows. What you bring Q2C Platform Experience: Proven hands-on experience configuring and administering enterprise Quote-to-Cash or billing platforms (e.g., Zuora, Salesforce Revenue Cloud/CPQ, NetSuite Billing, Aria Systems, or BillingPlatform). Data & Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with SQL for querying and auditing billing data, alongside a solid grasp of REST APIs, webhooks, and ETL workflows. Modern Pricing Expertise: Experience supporting complex SaaS or infrastructure pricing models—such as PLG, hybrid commitment-plus-usage, tiered rates, and consumption-based/metered billing. Revenue Recognition Knowledge: Practical understanding of rev rec fundamentals (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and how accounting rules dictate billing engine design. Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to bridge technical language and financial business logic, effectively collaborating with engineering teams and accounting stakeholders alike. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: A methodical approach to diagnosing system sync errors, rating anomalies, and integration edge cases to ensure operational continuity.   Bonus points Experience with DigitalRoute mediation software or Kafka event-stream data intake Previous exposure to cloud infrastructure, PaaS, or developer-platform usage metrics Background supporting system migrations from implementation partners into internal teams Where we hire At Upsun, remote work isn't just a trend - it's our foundation. LawnStarter: Data Governance and Platform Manager

Company Company not specified

Location not specified Published
Job description
Headquarters: Mexico URL: http://lawnstarter.com About LawnStarter LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, with over $150M in annual bookings. We're expanding beyond lawn care to become the one-stop shop for all home services - operating across three brands (LawnStarter, Lawn Love, Home Gnome) on a single shared platform. About Analytics at LawnStarter We're a small, senior analytics team supporting the entire company - product, marketing, operations, and finance all run on the data we serve. The foundation is solid: a centralized Redshift data warehouse where all source data lands, modeled in dbt and orchestrated by Airflow, with Segment feeding event data in. You won't be stitching scattered sources together - the platform exists; your job is to make it trustworthy and keep it that way. We're mid-migration to Lightdash as our single BI platform, replacing Tableau and Metabase. Here's the honest gap: everyone on the team today is an analyst. Data quality, tracking standards, and platform hygiene get done as side work, squeezed between analyses. Nobody wakes up thinking about them - which is exactly the job we're hiring for. The Role You'll be the first person at LawnStarter dedicated to data governance - the owner of whether our data can be trusted. That means the quality and freshness of our source data, pipelines, and reports; the definitions behind our metrics; the standards behind our Segment event tracking; the health of our Lightdash workspace; the data feeding our machine learning models; and the security of the data itself. This is a hands-on role. You'll work solo at first, with the Analytics team around you but nobody under you - building automation, writing checks, fixing what's broken, and putting processes in place that scale past you. If the scope grows the way we expect, this becomes the foundation of a team you'd build. What makes this role different: You're first. Governance has been everyone's side job, so what exists today is yours to reshape - keep what works, redesign what doesn't, and your standards become the company's standards. Whole-stack ownership. Source data to pipelines to dashboards and ML models - you own trust across the entire chain, not one slice of it. A live migration to shape. Lightdash is landing now. You get to set up its permissions, structure, and norms before bad habits form, instead of untangling them later. What You'll Own Data quality and freshness - automated monitoring across source data, pipelines, and reports; catching upstream schema and source changes before they break anything downstream; running incidents to resolution when they happen. Data lineage and impact analysis - a living map from production source to warehouse model to dashboard, and the process that uses it: when a production change is proposed, its downstream impact on pipelines, metrics, and reports gets assessed before it ships, not discovered after. The end-state is data contracts with engineering, so breaking changes get caught in their workflow, not ours. Lightdash - administration, workspace structure, permissions, and the rollout itself. Your job is to give the company self-serve autonomy while keeping the workspace tidy enough that people can find and trust what's there. Enablement is part of the deal - people follow standards they've been taught - and so is keeping queries fast and warehouse costs sane. The semantic layer - we just shipped it for our most critical metrics: one governed definition per metric, in code. You'll extend definition and mapping to the rest and guard the layer against uncontrolled growth as it scales. Event tracking governance - our governed Segment event catalog: reviewing new events against its standards, keeping it matched to what production actually sends, and evolving the guardrails (naming, property dictionary, drift detection) as tracking grows. AI data readiness - AI agents query our warehouse every day through Brain, our internal AI toolkit. You'll govern what data AI tools can access and keep the warehouse AI-legible: documented, consistent, and safe for an agent to query and get the right answer. Data security and privacy - access controls, PII handling and retention under US state privacy laws, and periodic reviews of who - and which AI tools - can see what. The governance system itself - the documentation, ownership models, and review loops that keep all of the above running without heroics. Problems to Solve Make the Lightdash migration a step-change, not a re-platforming We're replacing Tableau and Metabase with Lightdash. Done poorly, we trade two messy tools for one messy tool. You'll design the structure - spaces, permissions, certification, naming - that lets stakeholders self-serve at the speed the company needs without creating an uncontrolled dashboard-growth nightmare. The hard part: autonomy and tidiness pull in opposite directions, and you have to deliver both. Finish and defend the semantic layer We just shipped our semantic layer for our most critical metrics - one governed definition per metric, so "two dashboards, two numbers" can't happen. The unglamorous truth: a long tail of metrics still needs definition and mapping, and a semantic layer only stays trustworthy if someone curbs its growth. You'll own both - extending coverage and keeping one-metric-one-definition true as the layer scales. Tame event-tracking entropy Segment events power our funnels and product analytics, and they're implemented by many engineers across many teams. The guardrails exist - a governed event catalog with naming standards, a property dictionary, a review lifecycle, and automated drift detection against production. What's missing is a dedicated owner: someone who holds every new event to the standard, keeps the catalog matched to what production actually sends, and evolves the guardrails as tracking grows. Without that, entropy wins - events drift and silently degrade when features change. Get ahead of breakage instead of chasing it Today, when production data changes upstream, we too often find out when a pipeline breaks or a stakeholder flags a wrong number. You won't start from zero - an AI-powered Analytics Engineer agent already runs freshness monitoring, metric anomaly detection, and dbt-based lineage checks - but it doesn't yet run at the scale or coverage we need. You'll take detection from partial to comprehensive, extend lineage beyond dbt (Segment events and Lightdash need stitching in), and wire it into engineering's change review, so a proposed production change comes with a downstream impact assessment instead of a postmortem. The end-state is data contracts: breaking changes caught in engineering's workflow, not ours. What Success Looks Like (Year 1) Zero pipeline incidents from unannounced source-data changes - lineage and automation catch them before they break anything downstream, and production changes ship with an impact assessment instead of a postmortem. Zero freshness incidents - stakeholders never open a stale dashboard. Every area of the business manages on official, well-maintained metrics and dashboards - product, marketing, ops, and finance self-serve in Lightdash against a fully mapped semantic layer; Tableau and Metabase are retired; arguments about whose number is right don't happen. Not because you built the dashboards - because you built the system that keeps them trustworthy. Every Segment event has an owner and a standard - new events ship compliant, and degradation gets caught automatically, not by accident. Governance runs as a system - documented processes that would survive you taking a month off. Requirements Who You Are Governance is your craft, not your chore. You genuinely enjoy making data systems trustworthy and tidy - you're the person who can't leave a broken naming convention alone. This is unlikely to be a good fit if you see governance as a stepping stone to "real" analytics work. AI-native. You use AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, ChatGPT) daily to build quality checks, write automation, triage anomalies, and document as you go - one person covering ground that used to take a team. You also see the reverse direction: AI agents consume our data daily, and making the warehouse safe and legible for them is part of governance now. This is unlikely to be a good fit if you're skeptical of AI tools or prefer to do everything manually. A hands-on senior operator. You write the SQL, debug the Airflow DAG, and configure the permissions yourself - seniority here means judgment and speed, not delegation. This is unlikely to be a good fit if your last few years were spent directing others and you'd need a team to execute. Automation-first. Your instinct for any recurring check is to build a monitor, not a checklist. This is unlikely to be a good fit if your quality practice depends on manual review and discipline. An enforcer people actually like. You'll hold engineers and analysts you don't manage to standards - which takes clear rules, good tooling that makes compliance easy, and the spine to say no gracefully. This is unlikely to be a good fit if you avoid friction or, at the other extreme, enjoy being the department of no. This Role Is NOT A people-management role - yet. You'll work alone for a while. A team may grow under you if the scope demands it, but if you need direct reports on day one, this isn't it. A policy or committee job. There are no governance councils to chair and no binders to produce. When something's broken, you fix it - with code, config, or a conversation. A BI analyst role. You won't spend your days building dashboards for stakeholders. You build the platform and guardrails that let everyone else do that well. A finished system to babysit. Much of this doesn't exist yet. If you want to operate a mature data platform rather than build one, you'll be frustrated here. Tech You'll Touch Warehouse & pipelines - Redshift, dbt, Airflow Event tracking - Segment BI - Lightdash (primary), Tableau and Metabase (sunsetting) AI tooling - Claude Code, Codex, Brain (our internal AI toolkit), and any tool that makes you more effective or efficient Observability - an AI-powered Analytics Engineer agent (freshness monitoring, anomaly detection, dbt lineage) you'll scale up, plus the quality and impact tooling you'll add around it You don't need every box checked. You need hands-on depth in the warehouse/pipeline layer and credible experience keeping a BI tool and tracking plan healthy at company scale. Benefits Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $75k-$120k/year Fully remote: This work needs deep focus, building monitors, untangling pipelines, and we trust you to manage your environment. Async collaboration is the norm. Flexible PTO: We focus on results. Take what you need. LawnStarter: Data Governance and Platform Manager

Company Company not specified

Location not specified Published
Job description
Headquarters: Brazil URL: http://lawnstarter.com About LawnStarter LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, with over $150M in annual bookings. Join us in making hourly work rewarding and fulfilling. BACKGROUND AND OPPORTUNITY  There are almost 75 million hourly workers in the United States, representing more than half of the entire workforce. Historically, managing hourly employees has been difficult due to high attrition (average of 60%) and high replacement costs (average of $3,200 per employee in retail). The ongoing labor shortage and competition from the gig economy make it more difficult to attract and retain hourly employees. The top reasons hourly employees leave their jobs are a lack of schedule empowerment, poor communication with employers, and an inability to get paid early. Gen Z and the millennial workforce demand gig-like flexibility, modern technology, and compelling work options. Legion’s mission is to turn hourly jobs into good jobs, serving the hourly workers who make up the majority of the US workforce. We believe in empowering employees and helping employers be efficient and innovative by enabling intelligent automation powered by Legion’s Workforce Management platform to optimize labor efficiency and enhance the employee experience simultaneously. Legion WFM was built for the cloud with AI at the core and designed to handle the complexity of modern businesses and meet the needs of today’s hourly employees.  Our team is comprised of dedicated individuals from all backgrounds and experiences, globally distributed across all time zones. If you are uncertain whether you have been contacted by an official Legion employee, reach out to recruiting@legion.co  Legion is an equal opportunity employer. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Legion: Chief Architect

Company Company not specified

Location not specified Published
Job description
Headquarters: Remote, United States Chief Architect Remote - US Legion Technologies is building the AI-powered operating system for the hourly workforce. We are hiring a Chief Architect to serve as Legion’s most senior hands-on technical leader and to shape the technical foundation that will power the next decade of product innovation. This is not a strategy-only or advisory role. The Chief Architect must live close to the code, go deep with engineering teams, challenge assumptions, write and review technical designs, make high-consequence architecture decisions, and help turn bold product ambitions into scalable, reliable production systems. This person will own architecture and technical decision-making for the most complex parts of Legion’s Workforce Management platform, including AI, optimization, forecasting, scheduling, distributed systems, data platforms, real-time decisioning, enterprise scalability, security, compliance, and developer productivity. The ideal candidate has built and scaled mission-critical software used by large enterprise customers, has deep technical credibility with senior engineers, and can operate fluidly between code-level decisions and long-term platform strategy. They are pragmatic, decisive, opinionated, and comfortable making hard tradeoffs when simplicity, scalability, reliability, or customer trust require it. This role reports to the Head of Product, Engineering, and Support. This is an open role currently being filled on an interim basis by the CEO. Responsibilities and Duties Hands-On Architecture and Technical Decision-Making Serve as Legion’s senior-most hands-on technical authority for complex architecture, system design, and platform evolution. Personally dive into code, design documents, production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and implementation tradeoffs to diagnose root causes and guide technical direction. Lead the hardest technical decisions across AI systems, optimization engines, distributed systems, data architecture, reliability, scalability, security, and platform modernization. Write prototypes, reference implementations, architecture decision records, technical specifications, and design patterns where needed to unblock teams and establish clear direction. Make high-consequence technical decisions with incomplete information, balancing correctness, simplicity, speed, scalability, reliability, cost, and long-term maintainability. Challenge architectural drift, unnecessary complexity, weak abstractions, and short-term decisions that create long-term platform risk. Partner directly with Staff, Principal, and senior engineering leaders in design reviews, code-level discussions, and implementation planning. Platform Architecture and Technical Vision Define and own the long-term architecture for Legion’s AI-driven Workforce Management platform across application services, data infrastructure, ML systems, optimization engines, APIs, integration architecture, developer platforms, and enterprise-scale operations. Establish engineering-wide standards for system design, scalability, performance, reliability, extensibility, observability, security, and maintainability. Serve as the final architectural authority for major platform initiatives and technical decisions with long-term consequences. Identify opportunities to reduce complexity, improve system efficiency, accelerate engineering velocity, and unlock new product capabilities. Proactively surface technical debt, architectural risk, and platform constraints before they compound into customer, product, or engineering velocity issues. Create pragmatic migration paths from current-state architecture to target-state architecture while maintaining uptime, customer trust, backward compatibility, and delivery speed. Ensure Legion’s architecture supports enterprise configurability and extensibility without allowing uncontrolled customization or product fragmentation. AI, Optimization, and Decision Systems Architect AI-native product capabilities across forecasting, scheduling, labor optimization, recommendations, copilots or agents, anomaly detection, decision automation, and other intelligent workforce management use cases. Define the architecture for production AI systems, including data pipelines, feature platforms, model training, model serving, retrieval, evaluation, monitoring, feedback loops, and continuous improvement. Make clear build-versus-buy decisions across LLMs, classical ML, optimization solvers, retrieval systems, evaluation frameworks, and internal AI platforms. Partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to turn mathematically complex labor optimization problems into reliable, scalable, explainable production systems. Establish standards for AI system quality, including accuracy, latency, cost, explainability, drift detection, reliability, customer-specific behavior, and production observability. Ensure Legion’s AI capabilities remain differentiated, defensible, enterprise-ready, and deeply integrated into operational workflows rather than bolted on as superficial features. Distributed Systems, Data, and Enterprise Scale Drive architecture for large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS systems serving complex enterprise customers with high availability, performance, security, and compliance expectations. Lead technical decisions involving microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, distributed data processing, real-time systems, data governance, and large-scale analytics. Improve the architecture for observability, incident analysis, performance engineering, capacity planning, reliability, and operational excellence. Use production data, incidents, escalations, and customer operational patterns as inputs into architecture and platform improvement. Ensure architectural decisions support global scale, data residency, enterprise integrations, configurability, extensibility, and long-term platform leverage. Product, Business, and Customer Impact Connect technical decisions directly to customer value, product velocity, implementation speed, scalability, reliability, and long-term platform advantage. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate ambitious product goals into executable architecture and technical roadmaps. Understand enterprise customer complexity and design systems that support real-world operational variability without creating unsustainable technical debt. Support strategic customer, partner, and vendor architecture discussions where deep technical credibility is required. Help evaluate technical implications of major product, partner, platform, and commercial decisions. Engineering Culture and Technical Talent Mentor and elevate Staff Engineers, Principal Engineers, architects, and senior engineering leaders across the organization. Raise the bar for technical judgment, system design, architecture reviews, documentation, code quality, operational discipline, and engineering craftsmanship. Help assess, attract, and develop senior technical talent, including Staff, Principal, and architect-level engineers. Build a culture of disciplined technical thinking, direct debate, clear decision-making, and pragmatic execution. Ensure architectural decisions are documented clearly, understood broadly, and translated into executable engineering plans. Security, Compliance, and Enterprise Readiness Own the architectural approach to enterprise security, data governance, privacy, compliance, auditability, and resilience. Ensure architecture supports SOC 2, ISO 27001, data residency, access control, tenant isolation, regulatory requirements, and other needs of large global enterprise customers. Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering teams to make security and compliance foundational architectural properties rather than after-the-fact controls. Travel Requirements Up to 15% travel for leadership collaboration, engineering offsites, strategic customer engagements, and other business-critical meetings. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience Level 15+ years of experience building and scaling large-scale software systems.Prior experience as a Chief Architect, Distinguished Engineer, Principal Architect, very senior Principal Engineer, or equivalent senior technical leadership role. Demonstrated success designing and scaling mission-critical, multi-tenant SaaS platforms for enterprise customers. Deep hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, data platforms, APIs, event-driven systems, platform engineering, and high-availability production environments. Proven ability to operate as a hands-on technical leader who can credibly engage in code-level and design-level discussions with senior engineers. Experience making major architecture decisions for systems with high scale, high reliability requirements, complex domain logic, and long product lifecycles. Experience modernizing large production systems incrementally while maintaining uptime, backward compatibility, customer trust, and engineering velocity. Experience building or supporting AI, ML, optimization, decisioning, forecasting, or data-intensive products in production. Strong understanding of observability, incident response, performance engineering, reliability architecture, capacity planning, and operational excellence. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering teams, executives, customers, and cross-functional partners. Technical Depth Deep expertise in distributed systems, system design, cloud architecture, service-oriented or microservices architectures, APIs, event-driven systems, and large-scale data processing. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong experience with modern engineering practices, including architecture reviews, design documents, code reviews, testing strategy, deployment architecture, observability, and production operations. Experience with languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, Scala, or similar modern backend languages. Ability to reason deeply about tradeoffs involving performance, latency, throughput, cost, reliability, developer productivity, extensibility, and maintainability. Leadership and Judgment Strong architectural judgment: knows when to simplify, when to re-platform, when to tolerate debt, and when to force a hard technical reset. Demonstrated ability to make bold technical decisions with incomplete information and drive alignment across senior technical and executive stakeholders. Ability to influence without relying on hierarchy, while still being willing to make clear decisions when consensus is insufficient. Strong product and business judgment; able to connect architecture decisions to customer outcomes, implementation speed, product differentiation, and company strategy. Pragmatic builder mindset: balances long-term architecture with startup speed, customer urgency, and execution realities. Preferred Qualifications and Attributes Experience building platforms used by millions of users or supporting very large-scale enterprise operations. Experience at companies known for large-scale distributed systems, AI, cloud infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, workforce management, supply chain, fintech, commerce, logistics, or other complex operational domains. Familiarity with optimization engines, scheduling algorithms, forecasting systems, constraint solvers, real-time decision systems, or mathematically complex production systems. Experience architecting AI-native product capabilities, including LLM-enabled workflows, AI agents or copilots, model evaluation, retrieval systems, feedback loops, and production monitoring. Experience building internal developer platforms, platform infrastructure, data platforms, ML pipelines, or large-scale analytics systems. Experience designing highly configurable enterprise platforms without creating unbounded customization or implementation complexity. Experience participating in strategic customer architecture reviews or technical due diligence with large enterprise customers. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; PhD a plus but not required. Candidate Profile The strongest candidate will be a deeply technical, hands-on architect who still has the range to shape company-level technical direction. They are not a generic enterprise architect, process owner, or strategy-only leader. They are a builder and technical decision-maker who can personally engage with Legion’s hardest problems and earn the respect of the strongest engineers in the company. They should be comfortable moving between: Code and architecture. Product ambition and technical feasibility. AI innovation and production reliability. Startup speed and enterprise-grade rigor. Long-term platform strategy and immediate technical execution. They should be opinionated but not dogmatic, decisive but not reckless, and pragmatic without accepting mediocrity. They should be able to simplify complex systems, identify the real technical risks, and force clarity where teams are stuck in ambiguity. It’s proven to deliver 13x ROI through schedule optimization, reduced attrition, increased productivity, and increased operational efficiency. Legion delivers cutting-edge technology in an easy-to-use platform and mobile app that employees love.  If you're ready to make an impact and grow your career, Legion is where you belong. Ace Ventures: Executive Personal Assistant to the Founder (Remote, UAE or Europe)

Company Company not specified

Location not specified Published
Job description
Headquarters: Dubai, United Arab Emirates URL: https://aceventures.ai/ Location: Remote, based in the UAE or Europe. Engagement: full-time independent contractor (own visa and invoicing setup required). About the role You will be the right hand to a Dubai-based founder who runs a group of companies in performance marketing and consumer brands and splits his time between Dubai and Europe. Your job is to take every administrative task off his plate, business and personal, so his time goes to decisions and deals rather than logistics. We are looking for an A player. This is a fast-moving environment with high expectations: priorities change daily, decisions are made quickly, and the standard is that things get done properly the first time. You need to be driven, want to work hard, and take pride in running a tight operation for someone who moves fast. This is a hands-on, high-trust role. You will handle calendars, travel, bookings, paperwork, payments, vendors and follow-ups across several companies and several countries. You should be the kind of person who closes loops without being chased and notices problems before they land on his desk. What you will own Business administration Manage calendar and inbox: triage, prioritise, draft replies, schedule and reschedule across time zones Prepare, chase and file documents: contracts for signature, invoices, KYC and compliance requests from banks and partners, company renewals (trade licences, visas, insurance) Coordinate with accountants, lawyers, banks and agencies; track deadlines so nothing lapses Keep shared drives, access lists and company records organised and current Take notes in meetings when asked, track action items and follow up with the people responsible Travel and bookings Plan and book flights, hotels, villas, ground transport and restaurants, often on short notice and with changes mid-trip Manage loyalty programmes, entry requirements, visas and travel documents Coordinate pet travel logistics when required Personal administration Handle personal bills, subscriptions, insurance, vehicles and property matters in Dubai and Europe Manage household staff and service providers (cleaning, maintenance, vets, groomers, trainers) Research and arrange appointments, gifts, events and reservations Run errands remotely: returns, deliveries, renewals, forms What success looks like By day 30: You own the calendar and inbox end to end, know every company entity, bank and key contact, and have a live tracker of renewals and deadlines. By day 60: You have handled at least one full international trip solo, including changes mid-trip, and taken over all personal bills and subscriptions. By day 90: The founder is not touching admin. You flag issues before they become urgent and propose fixes rather than questions. What we are looking for 3+ years as an executive assistant, personal assistant or chief of staff to a founder, senior executive or private individual Based in the UAE or Europe, already holding the right to live and work there, and able to invoice as a freelancer or through your own company Fluent written and spoken English is required; any additional languages are a plus Proven experience booking complex international travel and handling last-minute changes calmly Comfortable with numbers and paperwork: expenses, invoices, bank forms, compliance requests Strong with Google Workspace, WhatsApp, Slack, Notion or similar, and quick to learn new tools Skilled with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT: you use them daily for drafting, research, summarising and structuring work, not as an occasional experiment Track record of automating your own repetitive tasks (for example with Zapier, Make, n8n, spreadsheet scripts or AI agents) without being asked to Discreet by default; you will see sensitive financial, legal and personal information Self-directed: works from a list, chases without reminders, confirms when something is done Calm under pressure, allergic to loose ends, direct in communication, and comfortable working mostly alone with a founder who moves fast and changes plans often This role is not for you if You need a fixed 9 to 5 with no interruptions, you prefer to wait for instructions rather than propose a plan, or you are uncomfortable handling someone else's money, documents and personal life with total discretion. Tools we use Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), WhatsApp and Slack for daily communication, Notion for tasks and documentation, Claude for drafting, research and workflow automation, and standard travel and booking platforms. Experience with UAE government portals (GDRFA, DED, Dubai Now) and European banking is useful but not required. Working hours and availability Core hours: 09:00 to 18:00 Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4), Monday to Friday When the founder is in Europe, core hours shift to Central European Time Reachable for urgent travel or booking issues outside core hours and on weekends; this is balanced with flexible time off during quiet periods Occasional in-person time in Dubai or Europe (a few days per quarter) is a plus, not a requirement Confidentiality and trust You will have access to passports, payment cards, company accounts and private correspondence. The engagement is conditional on a signed NDA, reference checks and a background check. Access is granted step by step during the probation period. Compensation and terms Fee: EUR 3,500 to 5,000 per month (or AED equivalent), depending on location and experience, invoiced monthly Performance bonus: up to EUR 2,000 per month on top of the fee, assessed monthly against agreed targets (deadlines met, zero missed renewals or bookings, response times, issues caught before they became urgent) Engagement: independent contractor. You must already hold the legal right to live and work where you are based and be set up to invoice (freelance permit, sole trader, autónomo or your own company). No visa sponsorship is provided. Software and travel costs covered when in-person time is needed Three-month probation period How to apply Apply with your CV, your earliest start date, and short written answers (a few sentences each) to the following: Describe a trip you booked that went wrong and how you fixed it. You receive a bank compliance request with a 48-hour deadline and the founder is on a long-haul flight. What do you do? Have you managed personal or household matters, not just business, for a principal before? Give an example. Describe one repetitive task you automated for yourself or a previous principal: what the task was, which tools you used, and how much time it saved. What time zone are you in, and what hours are you realistically available? Shortlisted candidates complete a 30-minute practical task (plan a sample trip from a short brief) before a video interview.
