Localize is seeking an energetic, growth-minded Engineering Manager to join our US-based remote team. In this Engineering Manager role, you will oversee a team of software engineers across our remote organization. You’ll be accountable for execution across the full software development lifecycle, setting clear expectations, driving delivery, and ensuring high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a remote engineering team with a clear focus on performance, accountability, and delivery
Set expectations for execution quality, timelines, and technical standards; hold teams accountable to outcomes
Oversee the quality of engineering deliverables, including code, testing, debugging, and deployment
Identify performance gaps, technical debt, and delivery risks early and take decisive action to resolve them
Drive performance through clear expectations, direct feedback, and technical leadership
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope in a distributed environment
Implement pragmatic execution and project management approaches to mitigate risk and maintain momentum
Continuously improve engineering efficiency by eliminating friction, unnecessary process, and bottlenecks
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable software solutions; review code and contribute hands-on where necessary to unblock progress
Operate with high alignment to leadership priorities, balancing speed, quality, and long-term system health
